Tonbo Biosciences has been in existence since 2011 when it was started by various researchers and immunologists. The company’s products include antibodies and reagents, PCR reagents, recombinant and proteins. Tonbo Biosciences also provide products with research focus and custom and bulk reagents.
The group of antibodies and reagents includes reagents for flow cytometry, buffers and solutions, In Vivo Ready ™ reagents, Ready-Set-Flow™ and backbone panels. The Tonbo flow cytometry reagents have reactivity with rat, mouse, and human cell targets. They are available in a variety of formats that include FITC, Biotin, PE, PE-Cy5, APC, and PerCp. The Tonbo Biosciencs process for manufacturing reagents for flow cytometry involves enhancing the ratio of protein-to-fluorophore, performing quality-control testing, and adhering to stringent final release criteria. The applications of the flow cytometry reagents include IHCP, IHCF, IHC, IF, ICC, western blot, and electron microscopy. The reagents are available in a variety of formats such as biotin, APC, APC-Cy7, PerCP, FITC, and violetFluor™.
In Vivo Ready reagents by Tonbo Biosciences are designed for use in activating antibodies that are in either a plate-bound or solid phase assay. These reagents are also suitable for neutralizing receptor-ligand interfaces, as well as monitoring functional activity that is in vivo.
Tonbo Bioscience develops isotype controls that serve the purpose to distinguish signals from noise in experiments consisting of flow cytometry. These antibodies are not tied to a specific type of fluorescence, but instead denote background levels of fluorescence that are related to cells that have already been stained using fluorochrome conjugated antibodies.
The Ready-Set-Flow Backbone Panels product was developed by Tonbo Biosciences for flow cytometry projects. This product places key antibodies in multi-color combinations that have been pre-defined. Researchers have the option of adding drop-in markers, if needed. The company allows researchers to request custom panels when the available panels do not meet their specific needs.

My other passions include grilling, wine tasting, and real food. To be honest, my biggest passion is flow cytometry, which is something that Carol and I share. My personal mission is to make flow cytometry education accessible, relevant, and fun. I’ve had a long history in the field starting all the way back in graduate school.
