Militenyl Biotec is a developer and manufacturer of products to support individuals that work in the biomedical research industry. The company provides reagents in the form of single antibodies or kits with a combination of antibodies. The antibodies that are available are suitable for a variety of cell targets such as human, non-human primate, and mouse.

The Reafinity™ Antibodies go through a unique engineering process that negates them having .to go through fragment crystallization or binding. This process also provides the antibodies with the IgG1 human isotype that lessens the number of negative controls that are required to one. They also consist of a single heavy and light chain. These antibodies, which are recombinant, are available for numerous specificities. Reafinity antibodies are developed in mammalian cells and have 300 clones. CD5, CD10, IgD, and Ki-67 are examples of the antibodies that are developed for mass cytometry.

Miltenyi also provide dyes that are suitable for multi-color cell analysis. The fluorochromes belong to a group called Vio® Dyes. This group includes the dyes VioGreen™, VioBlue®, VioBright™, and APC-Vio770™. VioGreen is a dye is designed for use with flow cytometers with a violet laser. This dye is excited at 405 nm and suitable for a variety of applications that include fluorescence microscopy. The VioBlue dye was developed to enhance the violet laser in flow cytometer instruments. This dye absorbs at a maximum rate of 400 nm and has a maximum emission of 455 nm. The VioBright dye is a blue laser that is beneficial for a variety of applications and is suitable for normal staining procedures. The PE-Vio770 dye absorbs at a rate of 495 nm.

Miltenyi also develops fluorescent antibodies for cell sorting. These antibodies have a variety of specificities. There are many MACS GMO products that include CD25-PE, CD25-PE-Biotin, CD45RA-FITC, CD127-APC, and CD4-VioBlue.

Kits with pre-mixed combinations and assays are included in the products that Miltenyi develops. These kits are suitable for identifying a variety of cells, including stem cells, tumor cells, and immune cells. They can also be used to identify rare cells. If requested, these kits can include isotype controls and FcR blocking reagents. The assays contain the reagents that are required to detect cytokine-secreting cells. They also contain reagents for other use cases, including stimulating T cells using processes outside what is considered normal. Miltenyi includes a Fixation and Dead Cell Discrimination kit that researchers can use to analyze apoptosis dead cells from 100 tests. The Annexin V-FITC kit is suitable for detecting cells that are necrotic, apoptotic, or dead.

The secondary reagents that Milteny develops are developed for those research cases that do not have an available fluorochrome conjugate. The secondary reagents can be specified for human, mouse, rat, and non-human primate species. They are also available for a variety of conjugates, including PE, APC, and FITC.

Milteny provides a service for customized antibody designs. This service allows biomedical researchers to request antibodies for specific projects. The customization service allows researchers to choose from a variety of antibodies and fluorochromes. Researchers can also specify the number of clones and amount of concentration.
