The FlowJo flow cytometry software application allows researchers to analyze the entirety of their experiments, even if there are numerous samples. The software application is developed with an environment that integrates the features, which allows users to view and analyze their data in a single location. One area of the application is called the workspace. This section consists of samples that are loaded, as well as gates and statistics. All of the information that is on the workspace is saved by the user in the form of a FlowJo document on the local drive.
Common features such as statistics and gates are included with the FlowJo software application. There are unique features such as an analysis platform that allows the user to process assays that involve proliferation, kinetics, and DNA/cell cycle.
Users are able to use the FlowJo software application to produce data results in numerous formats that include reports, web pages, movies, graphs, and statistics.
The report feature allows users to generate graphical reports of the overlays, plates, histograms, and plots that are associated with their project. They can choose from several formats to use for the output of the reports. The options include PDF, a web page, Microsoft PowerPoint, printed page, and a custom layout. The custom layout Users create their reports using Layout Editor. They also have the option of generating a report with a single layout or to apply a layout format to a complete sample set.
Remote data hosting services are integrated into the FlowJo software application that is called LIMS. FlowJo also offers a network or “cloud” installation that is suitable for users needing scalability, high-performance, and high-quality throughput.
Exporting analysis data in FlowJo is done using the Table Editor. The tables that users create can contain custom formulas, sample keywords, and summary statistics. In addition to generating the tables within the FlowJo application, users can also export tables in a variety of other programs.
